The Windy City from Calamity Jane (1953)

Doris Day in Calamity Jane was such a fun musical.
I never did buy the tomboy look on her. But I love this musical. It is just so fun!

Harry & David's Corn Chowder

I had heard how I just had to go to Park City and go to Harry & David's. So I did! If you haven't been there you should go too. It was such a fun store and we bought all kinds of thing. They have the best and yummyest ( I think thats a word) soup mixes. It rained like crazy the other day and I thought I would try one. So I did. Yummy! This is a picture of the Corn Chowder and so we tried 2 others and I am going to driveup next weekend for more. They are so good. If you live in SLC it worth the drive and if not you can go to their website...http://www.harryanddavid.com/

A New Bag Means SHOPPING!!

I love getting a new bag....always makes me feel like shopping! Like I ever need an excuse ...it also is a good reason to clean out the old one. I always find old notes I wrote to myself and forgot about, websites I wanted to visit, enough change for a visit to Starbucks!! Yeah!!! So stop by again and I am off to Starbucks....

Steel Magnolias
Who could ever forget this movie....
I was crying so hard listening to Sally Fields and then it turned to laughing so hard.
From crying to laughing makes for the best movie ever! Just finding this clip made me go pull out the DVD and watch it all over again....Grab a cup of tea...and go watch the movie again!

Reading Cookbooks

I love cookbooks they are everywhere in my kitchen.....on the fridge, on the counter, under the cupboard, on the table, and in the pantry.
I even read them to my grand kids as if they were story books. They love them! As babies I read them (of course) my favorite recipes. Besides its easier to find a cookbook at my house then it is to find a storybook....

I loved all the Beach Blanket Movies...
And When Frankie Avalon sang to Annette I melted...Oh I wanted a boy to sing to me just like that....
This was one of my favorite Annette and Frankie Scenes. I can re wind it over and over. I remember suggling into the couch with a pillow and blanket and melting to the floor...
Which ones did you love?
