Fun Day at My Girlfriend's Quilt Shop!

\\

I had the best Sewing Saturday!
My Daughter and I went for the day
up to "My Girlfriend's Quilt Shop" in Logan with the girls to sew.
This is her first Quilt square ever! Darcey didn't quilt until now!
I was so excited for her to come and even more excited she was
bitten by the quilting bug.
Since I had surgery on my foot I couldn't drive and she was so sweet
to offer to drive me. And since we would be up there all day she
wanted to try it. She got 1 quilt top done and a few squares of the next
one done.

This is the one Darcey finished.
We did a friendship quilt and swapped fabrics with the other girls.
It was so fun.
Below are 2 more the girls did.

 Don't they look great.

I wish I had of gotten more pictures of the finished quilts.
They all turned out different and darling.
This was so fun and we made so many new fun friends.
If you haven't been to My Girlfriend's Quilt Shop
then you just have to go, it is the cutest shop.
And it is ran by 2 sisters, Kim and Kris, that are so sweet.
Not only do they have the cutest quilt shop but they have
My Girlfriend's Attic when you can have group Sew In's!

Diana had these cute favors on the table for all the girls.
She painted the wooden signs, She is a woman of many talents!

This is down in the store, Don't you want to sit and read Quilt Books!

Darcey shopping for the edge fabric for her Friendship Quilt.

So many choices I don't know how Darcey will ever pick.

This is up in the Attic where we were sewing.

Everything is so cute you don't want to leave.

There was a area where you could sit and chat.

I have this pattern and some day I just might make it.

The Kitchen where all the wonderful food everyone
brought was. Look at that cute Quilt.

More refreshments on that cute table.

Even though we were sewing up a quilt I had to buy this kit.

Isn't it so pretty.

I needed more pictures of it!

I love this square.

I am going to love making this !

We wanted to take a fun favor for the girls and we found
these great stand up fabric sewing garbage cans.
They come un decorated and we decorated
ours to show what the girls can do with them.
The nice thing about these is they can hold way more than
the little ones that sit on the table and these fold up to pack
away for the next Sewing Day.
It was so fun to get away for the day,
Make new friends,
Sew with old ones ( hehe)
Watch my daughter enjoy a new hobby,
Make wonderful memories and
look forward to the next sewing day with my daughter!

Now this is my kind of a quilt shop! I love how she has such cute decorations throughout. Sounds like the perfect day to spend with your daughter. And that quilt at the end, it is so cute! Love the mix of colors.

Happy fall!
